Resolving disputes

Disputes can arise in many aspects of every day life. They may start as minor irritations but some can escalate into major disagreements and in more serious cases they can severely disrupt your ability to enjoy a normal lifestyle.

Our dedicated team provide realistic advice on the options available to resolve matters, either through mediation, arbitration, negotiation or litigation. We then pursue the appropriate course of action to resolve your dispute in the most cost-effective way. Wherever possible, we avoid the disruption and costs of litigation by encouraging parties to mediate or negotiate a settlement before the case reaches court.

We aim to resolve your disputes and bring them to a successful conclusion but, when required, our services extend to providing full representation in the courts, at tribunals, inquiries (including public inquiries) and arbitration hearings.

Our firm has the experience and expertise to deal with resolving most of the common areas for disputes and access to specialist help and assistance, where required.

The main areas where we provide assistance and legal advice are:

  • Boundary and property disagreements
  • Conflicts with retailers, suppliers or service providers
  • Claims on the estate of someone who has passed away
  • Repayment of debts
  • Problems with contracts (employment or others)
  • Landlord disputes
  • Personal debt management
